Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

A deposit is required to reserve your place at Camp Joy Retreats. Your booking is confirmed once your deposit is received.

The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the retreat start date. Bookings made within 90 days of the retreat require full payment at the time of booking.

Early Bird pricing is available for a limited time and ends 90 days prior to the retreat start date.

Deposits:

Your deposit is fully refundable within 7 days of booking.

After 7 days, deposits are non-refundable. If your plans change, your spot may be transferred to another guest or, at Camp Joy Retreat’s discretion, applied as a credit toward a future retreat.

Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the retreat start date may be eligible for a transfer or partial credit, at Camp Joy Retreats' discretion.

Cancellations made within 90 days of the retreat start date are non-refundable.

If your spot is resold, Camp Joy Retreats will issue a refund based on the amount recovered. If the space is filled at a reduced rate, the refund will be adjusted accordingly.

Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances

We understand that life can be unpredictable. If something beyond anyone’s control impacts your retreat, we will always approach decisions with care, fairness, and transparency. Our goal is to protect both our campers and the experience we’ve thoughtfully created.

Camp Joy Retreats is not liable for failure to perform its obligations if such failure is a result of events beyond our reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather events, acts of God, pandemics, government advisories or restrictions, political instability, transportation disruptions, or any other event that makes it unsafe or impractical to operate the retreat as planned.

In such cases, Camp Joy Retreats will assess the situation using guidance from relevant local and international authorities.

If the Retreat Proceeds as Scheduled

If Camp Joy Retreats determines that the retreat can proceed safely, the retreat will take place as scheduled.

Guests who choose not to attend will be subject to the cancellation policy above. At Camp Joy Retreats’ discretion, a partial credit toward a future retreat may be offered.

If the Retreat Cannot Proceed

If Camp Joy Retreats determines that it is not safe or feasible to operate the retreat, guests will receive a credit toward a future Camp Joy Retreat retreat.

Credits will be valid for 18 months from the original retreat start date. Refunds will not be provided unless required by law.

Camp Joy Retreats will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the retreat or offer alternative retreat options.

Travel & Insurance

Guests are responsible for their own travel arrangements and are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, interruption, and unforeseen events.

Camp Joy Retreats is not responsible for additional expenses incurred. outside of the retreat package, including flights or other travel costs.

4. Conduct

Guests are expected to behave in a manner that is conducive to the enjoyment and safety of others at the camp. Any use of illegal drugs, excessive alcohol consumption, or general misconduct may result in immediate expulsion from the camp without refund. Guests will be asked to sign that they will abide by the Camp Joy Retreats Community Guidelines prior to the start of camp.

5. Liability

Camp Joy Retreats is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost or damaged during your stay. By agreeing to these terms, you accept that all activities such as yoga, painting, and rafting come with inherent risks and you participate at your own risk.

6. Liability Disclaimer – Inner Joy Program

The Inner Joy Program is designed to provide reflection, self-understanding, and practices to support ongoing joy. In the course of this work, participants may surface personal or family issues, including but not limited to mother-child dynamics or unresolved experiences. While the program offers a supportive environment, it is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic care. By participating, you acknowledge that you remain responsible for your own well-being and may wish to seek additional professional support if deeper issues arise.

7. Accommodation

Most accommodations are shared, and while preferences are considered, specific room assignments cannot be guaranteed. We strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
